General rules:
The first season of this experimental community league for TAUNT will be limited to the first sixteen (16) teams to sign up. (With a full roster.) This league will be played in a 6v6 format under the standard ESEA 6s configuration. Because we're using the CEVO config, we'll be adopting ESEA's gametype/map rules and any and all weapon bans ESEA currently has. (A note about bans: Any weapons released during the season will be placed on the ban list as well. The banned weapon list is at the end of this post.)

*Game times/dates: All games will be conducted on anytime during the week that works for both teams involved. Any game for that week must be played and completed by/before Sunday (The Sunday of that week. For example, if we were to use the week of June 4th-10th, all games that week would have to be finalized by June 10th.) 11:59 EST or both teams will forfeit the game for that week.
*Servers: TAUNT will be providing private servers for the matches to be conducted on. (Please let us know when you want to play your match so we can get the server(s) set up.)
*Recording/demos: All players must record their gameplay for any and all league matches. (One demo per person, per half.) If you do forget, the server/config will give you a handy reminder before the first round of a live half starts. Demos must be uploaded and submitted no more than one day after the match has been completed. (Failure to do so may result in a reversal of the decision for that week/all weeks in question.) TAUNT will have a SourceTV client up for any casting/spectating purposes. (Information for that client will be released 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the match.)
*Team setup: The ESEA config we'll be running allows a team to have two (2) of every class except demoman, medic, engineer, and heavy. (Each team is only allotted one of the previous listed classes at a time. Classes can, however, be switched at any point during the round/game.)

*Sign-ups: Sign-ups start November 1st and will close in two to three weeks. If you are interested in participating, submit your team info (team name, full roster, etc.) to this thread. Team size must be a minimum of six and a maximum of 12. Please, also, list your players Steam IDs with the signup.

*Prizes:
-First place: A few months (two-three) of free CMF** + a custom, in-game, end of round "hat" (Like the CMF/BMF hats you see floating above players at the end of a round.) + 400 USD.
-Second place: One-two months of free CMF** + 200 USD
-Third place: One month of free CMF** + 150 USD
-Fourth place: One month of free CMF** + 50 USD
*Prize pool based on a, minimum, of eight teams registered. If we get a full league, 16 teams, the pool will be increased to 1,000 USD. With a distribution as follows: First place - 500 USD. Second place - 350 USD. Third place - 150 USD
**Free CMF is given to all registered members of that team. If a player wins free CMF, and already has it, they can choose to keep it themselves or gift it to somebody else
Another note: If your team finishes eligible for the prize money, payouts will be made to the team's captain ONLY. After this first payout, TAUNT assumes no responsibility for any cash that isn't distributed. Make sure your team's captain is trustworthy.

*Prediction Prizes: During the regular and post-season, the admins will be choosing three of four matches a week. We'll have a prediction thread open for that week in which users can post their predictions for the matches. The user that has the most correct predictions for that week will receive three prediction points, as well as two keys. The second place user will receive two prediction points and the third place user will earn a single prediction point. At the end of the season, the user with the most points will receive an unusual hat, as well as a special end of round hat.
*Prediction rules: Users will have to make predictions for all of that week's selected matches. Simply picking the winning team will net the user one matchup point. If the user guess the correct score as well, they will receive another matchup point. In the event of a tie, the tie will be broken by matchup points.

Gametype/Map Rules:
All CP maps:
First team to four (4) points or 30 minutes and switch sides. First team to five (5) points wins the match or the highest score after 60 minutes.

* Overtime - If there is a tie at the end of regulation, restart config and play one round. The team that wins that round wins the match.

All KotH maps:
First team to three (3) points or 20 minutes and switch sides. First team to four (4) points wins the match or the highest score after 40 minutes.

* Overtime - If there is a tie at the end of regulation, restart config and play one round. The team that wins that round wins the match.

All PL maps(Or stopwatch maps, aka cp_gorge/cp_gravelpit):
All stopwatch maps will be scored using the best of three rounds (bo3) format. One round consists of each team attacking and defending once. One point is given to the winning team of each round (one round is equal to one point). The first team to win two (2) rounds of the three wins the entire match. There is no time limit for stopwatch maps.

* All stopwatch maps will follow an ABBA format: Team A attacks and team B defends. Next round, team B attacks and team A defends. If the third round is played team A will be the attacking team. By default Team A is the HOME team, but teams may agree to let the visiting team be considered Team A.

Map Rotation:
Wk 1: cp_badlands
Wk2: cp_process
Wk3: koth_viaduct_pro
Wk4: cp_follower
Wk5: cp_snakewater
Wk6: cp_gravelpit
Wk7: cp_gullywash
Wk8: cp_granary

Playoffs Top 8: (Double Elimination, finals Bo3)

Wk1: koth_ashville
Wk2: cp_process (First week of LB play)
Wk3: cp_warmfront (Second week of LB play)
Wk4: cp_badlands (bye for UB winner)
Wk5: Finals (Bo3 series. LB team has to win two Bo3 series to win)

Teams for Season 1:
(Example: Team Name - Team Tags : Status:)

To prevent team stacking why not just take everyone interested and randomly assign them? Prevent moar butthurt?

Love the idea, really want to help/participate in any way I can.

1) awesome idea shady. Looking forward to it.

You mentioned casting. Will this be streamed and casted by taunt or will we be sending to extv/vanilla/sal/kip? Also, auditions or pre picked casters if it is the prior?

Here is a nifty tf2 client plugin http://etf2l.org/files/p-rec.rar

You can set it to record any servers you join which are in tournament mode, like esea or taunt or lobbies or pugs. This takes the hassle out of remembering to type record in command box every time you play. I can post an actual mini guide to this if anyone's confused.

Hope to see some awesome teams develop :)

Great idea. We could do a pool system. Randomly pick "captains" for teams and then let them draft players. We'll see how the turnout is/what the majority wants to do.

Thanks for the link Stabah, that will definitely be helpful.

As for casting, I'm not sure. I don't know eXTVs stance on community run leagues. But, I'd be willing to let anybody cast/co-cast. (If that doesn't happen, Zeke and I could always pick up the ol' mantle again.)

Thanks for all feedback and support thus far. I've been wanting to do this for a while and it's good to know that the community has/still has some interest.

That would be appreciated since i have no idea how to record myself

Well if anybody needs a guy that sucks at all 9 classes hit me up

If Zeke and I do it, we'll be doing it through our old Twitch channel. So, anything that happens can be highlighted there. (Alternatively, there's going to be the STV demos.)

I was thinking of having some kind of "round table" tomorrow evening. Get some people into the TAUNT mumble, talk it out. I'll be around all day, but, I'd like to know if (those interested) have any time constraints.

Two things. One, sign-ups haven't officially opened yet. Secondly, when you sign-up, just post your team's name and it's members. The format in the OP is for me.

[totes) is totally in bra!

Poops stated this as well, i wouldnt mind helping out setting stuff up, spreading the word, ect.

An idea that would be cool, is everyone competing should put in a key, so the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams should get some keys as well.

STOKED FOR THIS

Also, my team has some extra players in it, so if shockwave and anyone else wanna make another team in play in this, do work!

Also, you're a better then okay demo....especially when mali kritz's you!
